Now in its 23rd season, the Sheldon Art Association’s Jazz in June concert series continues — this year with the international music of Evening in Brazil, CALJE, Donna Singer and the Doug Richards Trio, and Susan Pereira and Sabor Brasil.

Concerts take place each Tuesday in June at 7 p.m. in the sculpture garden west of UNL’s Sheldon Museum of Art, 12th and R streets. Although the Jazz in June concert series is free, those in attendance are encouraged to make a donation of $10 per family to help ensure its continuation.

The 2014 Jazz in June schedule is listed below.

Walking tours of campus gardens are offered at 6 p.m. each Tuesday in June by representatives of UNL Landscape Services, Lincoln Parks and Recreation, and Sheldon Museum of Art. Tour groups assemble at Sheldon’s east entrance.

For safety reasons, pets are not allowed at concerts.

A market featuring 25 vendors with food, drinks and artisan-made crafts begins at 5 p.m. at 12th and R streets.

UNL BikeValet offers free secure parking for bikes from 5 p.m. to an hour after each Jazz in June concert. Parking is at 13th and R streets at the east end of the Jazz in June market. For more information, go to http://bike.unl.edu/bikevalet or call the UNL Outdoor Adventures Center at 402-472-4777.

Jazz in June is organized by the Sheldon Museum of Art and Art Association, UNL, University Program Council and community collaborators.
