Rockapella to play Lied Oct. 6

The internationally recognized a cappella group Rockapella will open the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ 21st season with a 7:30 p.m., Oct. 6 performance.

“The Lied Center is very excited to kick off the new season with a group as dynamic as Rockapella,” said Bill Stephan, executive director of the Lied Center. “They create incredible sounds with just their own voices and put on a show that audiences around the globe love.”

Rockapella was catapulted into fame after writing and performing the theme song for the TV show “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” Featured on PBS and HBO, the group has performed on international tours and recorded numerous studio albums.
