Play tackles social issue

The UNL Department of Theatre Arts’ University Theatre will present How I Learned to Drive by Paula Vogel in Howell Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19-21 and 25-28. A preview performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Tickets to the preview performance are $5 and available only at the door.

How I Learned to Drive tells the stories of Li’l Bit and her Uncle Peck through a series of flashbacks and remembrances. It addresses abuse with humor and honesty and is intended for mature audiences.

Tickets to the production are $14, $12 faculty/staff and senior citizen, and $10 student. Call the Lied Center Box Office at 472-4747.
