Repertory Theatre auditions are Jan. 15
The Nebraska Repertory Theatre, the professional wing of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, will hold summer season auditions, 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 15 in Howell Theatre, Temple Building.
Auditions will also be held at UNO noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Weber Fine Arts Building, room 333, and in Chicago and Kansas City.
To set an audition appointment, go online www.unl.edu/rep. Those auditioning should prepare a comic monologue and a contemporary edgy monologue, combined not to exceed three minutes. Directors are looking for actors with great comic timing and movement who can create specific characterizations.
The Nebraska Repertory Theatre is looking for a company of eight actors, five men and three women, who will be cast in three productions performed in rotation from July 6 to Aug. 5. Two of the productions are "Omnium Gatherum" by Theresa Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Bassilaros, and "Leading Ladies" by Ken Ludwig. The title of the third production will be announced.
