Wine tasting event features Kooser

 

World Wide Wines, a wine-tasting fundraiser for the non-profit Lux Center for the Arts (formerly University Place Art Center), will feature U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser, 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Lux Center, 48th Street and Baldwin Avenue.

Kooser will attend and read his poem "How to Make Rhubarb Wine." The event will also include eight wines from around the world and work by 32 local artists.

Cost is $30 for Lux members. Cost for non-members is $35 in advance, $40 at the door. The event is open to the public.

The Lux Center for the Arts is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.
