Kruger hosts ethnic 'Barns of Nebraska'

From housing domestic livestock to providing space for community dances, barn history is brought to life as the Kruger Collection of miniature furnishings and decorative arts hosts, "Barns of Nebraska's Ethnic Communities," Jan. 23 to March 9.

The traveling exhibit was part of the Smithsonian Institute's "Barn Again! Celebrating an America Icon" exhibit and features a 1:48 scale model cut-away of a working barn. The scale miniature is a replica of a barn built in Washington County in the mid-1920s.

The exhibit is presented along the exhibition "A Global View of Interior Design," on display until March 17.
