Gallery to feature state’s art teachers

Larry Roots, gallery owner and artist at Modern Arts Midwest, is the juror for the exhibition. An awards reception will be held at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in the gallery.
The exhibition features work of art educators who live or work in Nebraska. The exhibit is being presented in conjunction with the NATA Fall Conference, Oct. 2-3 in Lincoln.
“This exhibition provides an opportunity for art educators to demonstrate their skills as artists in a professional setting,” said Nancy Childs, curriculum specialist for visual art for Lincoln Public Schools. “There is great variety in the media used, and it is always an interesting show.”
