Pierce to discuss film, video work
Sep 25th, 2008 | By tfedderson2 | Category: Arts & Entertainment, September 25, 2008Iowa artist Leighton Pierce will screen and discuss a selection of his film and video works at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 29 at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. The screening and discussion are free and open to the public.
Pierce creates installations of video and audio loops presented on constructed 3-D projection objects.
Currently, his commissioned installation work, “Agency of Time,” is on exhibit at the Sheldon Museum of Art through Oct. 19.
On Sept. 30, Pierce will also discuss his work and “Agency of Time,” 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sheldon Museum of Art. The lecture is free and open to the public.
