The lecture is free and open to the public at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
Weinstein is a professional ethicist. His interactive talks to businesses, schools, the military and a wide range of nonprofit organizations across the country show how living an ethical life makes people happier, healthier, and more prosperous – but that the reason to do the right thing is simply because it’s the right thing to do.
He appears as an ethics analyst regularly on the FOX Business Network and writes the column “Ask the Ethics Guy,” for BusinessWeek.com.
Weinstein is the author or editor of five books on ethics. His latest book is “Life Principles: Feeling Good by Doing Good” (Emmis Books). He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Swarthmore College, and a Ph.D. in philosophy and bioethics at Georgetown University.
The Ethics Lecture is part of the UNL College of Business Administration’s Business Ethics Program. The program supports ethics curriculum and material development, as well as the discussion of ethical issues among students, faculty and the business community.
