Artists encouraged to apply for 'Free at 6' series

Lincoln-area artists are encouraged to fill out an application to take part in the 2006-2007 season of the Lied Center for Performing Arts' "Free at 6" series.

Applications are available at the Lied Center and online at www.liedcenter.org.

All disciplines of the performing arts will be considered; individuals and groups are encouraged to apply. Artists need not be professionals, but are required to submit a sample of their performance on audiotape, CD, videotape or DVD, along with a current resume. There will be no live auditions.

For more information, call the Lied at 472-4700. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Feb. 17.

"Free at 6" was created to recognize and celebrate the rich range of artistic talent in the community and open the Lied Center to a wider audience. Programs are 45 minutes in length.
